This year might see the revival and release of semi-dead games. Don’t forget, we are talking about two PlayStation-related games. One of them is The Last Guardian that we haven’t heard of for years outside „it’s still in development”, and the other one Final Fantasy XV – Sony announced the latter almost a decade ago as Final Fantasy Versus XIII. Since then, we jumped a generation and so did Square Enix‘s game.
Final Fantasy XV‘s director, Hajime Tabata wrote a post on Square Enix‘s website. In it, he announced that his game is going to see daylight in 2016. He also wrote the following: „In development, previous phases required wisdom and strength. However, moving forward the final phase will focus on effort and willpower.” Huh. For us, that second sentence sounds like they are beta testing and balancing their game out to provide us the best possible gameplay experience.
Will they succeed or fail miserably? We’ll see in 2016 for sure. Let’s hope Square Enix won’t rush this title out the door!
