This time, do not judge the book simply by its cover – although the video below starts out as usual, as you progress, you will hear Martin Sahlin. The creator of Unravel tells you a story about how this project started out as just a spark of inspiration that turned out to be a game developed by Coldwood Interactive. It’s not a pre-learnt PR speech. Instead, it’s an actual, honest story that started two years ago.
What if you create a game about love, where the main character is essential to tie the people together at the end of the levels without being unraveled? If we add the fact that Unravel is meant to be a game that you care about (so running through this, ignoring every possible thing in the process isn’t going to be a common thing on first playthroughs), it might be something refreshing.
It looks like Electronic Arts might just release one of the sleeper hits of 2016 in just a month: Unravel hits the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC in digital format on February 9.
