id Software and Bethesda have dumped a ton of information on our necks, so let’s get right into detailing them.
There’s going to be a Collector’s Edition of DOOM. In the US, it’ll cost 120 dollars and Europeans can get it for 130 euros (so the EU pricing is way higher again, wow). The game will come in a metallic case, and we’ll also get a 12″ Revenant statue on an LED-lit base and an internal slow-spinning turbine. The box art is also revealed. It looks like 2016 is going to be the year of urine-colored box arts. Dark Souls III and to some extent, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will both have mostly this color on their boxes. (Too bad that DOOM‘s art isn’t even remotely close to the original from the 90s.)
Pre-ordering will net you the Demon Multiplayer Pack (Demon-themed armor set, six metallic paints, three id logo patterns and six hack modules), so we got the usual pre-order for bonuses mentality here as well.
We also received a new trailer too, but let’s get this out of the way… DOOM will launch on May 13 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
