At last „abyss” isn’t the left to be the only „golden” thing in Uncharted’s world. Uncharted 4: Thief’s End slid with its release date more than the soap between our hands. However, it is unlikely that Naughty Dog will push the launch day back one more time as something necessary for physical distribution is now complete.
That is the gold master disc which is used to multiply the game into those physical copies that you can pick up at stores. This also means the development is done. It’s weird, though: the game’s release is one and a half month away and the disc is usually written later. This is also a reason you see day-1 patches for several games: the devs can still work out some kinks while their game’s copies are being manufactured. (And, in some cases, the patch ends up bigger than the game itself, just remember Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5.)
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End – unless it gets delayed once again – is out on May 10, exclusively for the PlayStation 4. As Neil Druckmann states, „every journey must come to an end.”
