MOVIE NEWS – After last month’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, the DC Extended Universe is resuming this August with the super villain team Suicide Squad. So far, we could see two trailers from Suicide Squad: the dark footage from last year’s San Diego Comic-Con and January’s trailer with the “Bohemian Rhapsody” music in it. Now, a new clip was shown at the MTV Movie Awards presented by four of the film’s stars, and you can see it now available online. Let’s take a look!
We can express our gratitude to The MTV Movie Awards for the explosive footage again that we’ve gotten in our latest look at Suicide Squad. In the new trailer we can appreciate the direct relation to the Squad’s adventures and that of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and it’s all consist of Viola Davis’ Amanda Waller’s involvement.
In fact, the Suicide Squad‘s presence sounds like it’s owed to Superman frightening the government, as they’re using the best of the worst villains to save the world. These bad guys also have some astounding powers and some sweet ass musical cues.
Suicide Squad will tail a group of incarcerated DC villains who are contacted by the government organization Task Force X to go on dangerous missions in exchange for leniency. However, the rival operatives will soon learn that they weren’t picked to succeed, but to take the fall should anything go wrong. The team’s members will include Diablo, Deadshot, Killer Croc, Harley Quinn, Boomerang, and Slipknot, along with government agents Rick Flagg and Katana. Other players in the movie include Task Force X head Amanda Waller, the powerful sorceress Enchantress, and the psychotic Joker.
Since the day of its announcement, Suicide Squad has sworn to be a nonconformist thrill ride to shake up the summer box-office. After the reaction to the clip at last night’s pre-taped ceremony, we’ve been expecting something pretty damned big to land in our laps, and tonight’s new look is worth the hype. Not only does David Ayer‘s super anti-hero movie look like it’s going to up the action factor from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, it looks like it’s got the humor and general amiability that DC’s previous offering was missing.
Suicide Squad’s villains will promise to be good on August 5th.
