Brand new DOOM: The Beta Detailed! [VIDEO]

Bethesda decided to remind us once more about the upcoming open DOOM beta. Repeating might be annoying, but that is not the case here as the devs and publisher detail what we can expect over the course of the weekend.

April 15-17 – Mark your calendars. It’s funny how Halo 5: Guardians’ Warzone Firefight beta is also happening between April 14 and 18. DOOM‘s multiplayer can be quickly described with three words: Quake III Arena, and it probably has a few hundred (thousand? tens of thousands?) more players than Halo.

We already knew what levels and modes will be available to us, but thankfully, Bethesda and id Software detailed it a bit more.

Maps: Heatwave and Infernal

Game Modes: 6v6 Team Deathmatch and Warpath

Demon: Revenant

Weapons: Rocket Launcher, Plasma Rifle, Super Shotgun, Vortex Rifle, Static Rifle, Heavy Assault Rifle, and Lightning Gun

Power Weapons: Gauss Cannon

Equipment: Frag Grenade, Personal Teleporter, Siphon Grenade

DOOM launches on May 13 on PS4, X1, and PC (beta is for all platforms).
