Ubisoft and PlayStation 4 still make bestselling results in the United States. Although the NPD haven’t provided their sales report yet, Sony already issued a statement about how the PS4 won March as well. They also mentioned that The Division has more console player on the PS4 than on the X1. (We wonder if Sony can win April, as Quantum Break, a title not available on the PS4, has been announced as a Microsoft Studios X1 bestseller.)
Hardware sales dropped by 19% compared to March 2015, and prev-gen also fell by 78%. Interesting tidbit: accessories sold by 9% more last month.
Here’s the top 10 games list for March:
- The Division (PS4, Xbox One, PC)
- Far Cry Primal (PS4, Xbox One, PC)
- The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD (Wii U)
- Grand Theft Auto V (PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, PC)
- EA Sports UFC 2 (PS4, Xbox One)
- MLB The Show 16 (PS4, PS3)
- Pokken Tournament (Wii U)
- NBA 2K16 (PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3)
- Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 (Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3, PC)
- Minecraft (Xbox 360, PS4, Xbox One, PS3)
Ubisoft took the top two spots of the podium, and Nintendo can also rejoice by taking two positions in the top 10 with Twilight Princess HD, and Pokken Tournament. GTA 5, NBA, BO3, and Minecraft are regular charting games. For sports fans, March was a great month: EA Sports’ MMA game UFC 2, and baseball fans’ MLB were both selling well.
