Recently we don’t see Need For Speed games come out annually. Perhaps you still remember that from 2002’s Hot Pursuit 2, we have experienced at least one significant addition per year to the franchise up to 2013’s Rivals. There was a break in 2014, but Ghost Games rebooted the franchise for 2015.
They now announced on the Need For Speed blog that the sequel comes in 2017. Ghost Games will have their third Need For Speed game under their belt as they were responsible for Rivals as well. This is what they wrote on their blog: „We are now building upon the foundations that have been laid with Need for Speed and delivering our next game in 2017. That’s not to say that we’re going quietly between now and then… far from it. We’ll be working with our community, and there will be multiple opportunities to bring many of you into the studio in the coming months to get your feedback on where we’re headed.”
The release year makes it a question what platforms Ghost Games are developing for? Could the Nintendo NX be one of them?
