XV, VII, XII, and now IX – we might be seeing a surprise announcement at E3, for an unexpected platform!

We have previously seen a PC and an iOS/Android release for Final Fantasy XI earlier this year, the PlayStation Vita (!) is another potential platform to receive the RPG. Thailand-based Silicon’s one of the employees has something in the CV on LinkedIn. It mentions something new: Final Fantasy XI – Remastered, „Porting famous PlayStation 1 games to iOS/Android/PS Vita/Steam using Unity (C#).” Three out of four platforms got the game already, so Sony Interactive Entertainment is caught red handed.

Unsurprisingly, this part of the CV has disappeared, but as they say, the internet doesn’t forget. Either Sony announces the port at E3, or it gets silently canceled, or maybe, it will get a limited release in the Asian region…
