Japanese studio PlatinumGames isn’t always working on cheaper, lower-budget Activision-license games; we’ve seen some excellent titles from this team in the past.
Hideki Kamiya, one of the founders, has had an interview with the British Metro magazine, and he hinted that two franchises might be getting a sequel. He talked about Bayonetta, and Okami; both of these were his creations. Kamiya had a funny comeback to a comment that said Bayonetta had a better hairdo in her first game. „Then we will take that into account when we design her haircut when we start doing 3 if we ever make 3. Of course, we want to make 3!” Kamiya also stated that he has ideas for Okami 2, too.
So despite Scalebound that is to hit the Xbox One and Windows 10 in 2017, Hideki Kamiya is looking further into the future than his next game.
