This game is pulling a similar schtick as one of its rivals, Project CARS: delay, delay, delay, then finally, a launch after several weeks, months of wait.
However, Kunos Simulazioni‘s game on PC has been out for one a half year, so we’re talking about the PS4/X1 version that has been in development for multiple months. Thankfully, 505 Games, the publisher, doesn’t seem to be pushing the game further back anymore, so Assetto Corsa can prepare for the launch. In the newest trailer, a few circuits are getting introduced, pointing out the fact that with some laser scan technology, they were all digitalized as realistically as possible, although we have heard this word way too many times recently.
What circuits, you ask? Silverstone, Spa-Francorchamps, Monza, Barcelona, Nürburgring Nordschleife… the game will offer 15 circuits and 24 layouts total. However, if the circuits are digitalized beautifully, the quantity will be defeated by quality.
Assetto Corsa launches on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on August 26.
