Bandai Namco chose an interesting way to market God Eater 2: they show the PC version, which is easily capable of running at sixty frames per second.
God Eater 2, which was developed by Shift (they made Devil Dice on the PS1, but most of their titles are Japanese-only), won’t only target the PC, as it will also launch on the PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation Vita. The base game was released in 2013 for the PSV and the PSP, but the West will get the updated Rage Burst version of this action-RPG on August 30.
On PlayStation 4, don’t expect sixty frames per second, but the game still looks to be a pleasant adventure. As both the base game, and the upgraded edition had decent sales in Japan with also getting great reviews in the country, God Eater 2: Rage Burst doesn’t seem to be a game that ends up as uninstalled after only five minutes. If you pre-order the game, you’ll get God Eater: Resurrection for free!
