Deep Down‘s name got another six-month trademark extension, but we haven’t heard of Capcom‘s game for roughly 1.5 years by now!
Capcom‘s trademark extension request happened for the fifth (!) time already, and the last time we wrote about Deep Down, all they did was the fourth request and nothing else. This silence might be ominous, but it also could mean the game is in some development hell.
Remember, The Last Guardian also disappeared for multiple years, but at least that game will be out this autumn (unless it gets delayed). But Deep Down? We can’t say almost anything new about this action-RPG.
There’s still some time until February, but don’t be surprised if the game gets renamed to something else to avoid the trademark issues for a while. Will this futuristic New York setting game even be out by the end of this console generation?
