Sony might present the stronger PlayStation 4 model earlier than we would have thought!
According to French gaming site Gameblog, the PlayStation 4 NEO could get a reveal event in New York on September 7. That doesn’t seem like information that we could believe, but Gameblog has previously had multiple legitimate scoops, including Injustice 2, Assassin’s Creed Rogue, or Resident Evil 7’s reveal at E3.
This timeframe would be close to GameStop CEO Paul Raines’ comment, who previously mentioned the Xbox One S and the PlayStation 4 NEO in the same launch window. Since then, we learned that Microsoft‘s Xbox One S would come in August, so Raines’ comment might be a slip-up, but a possible legit piece in the puzzle.
Gameblog says that Sony doesn’t prepare for the Tokyo Game Show because the base PlayStation 4 was also revealed in New York on February 20, 2013, and the Nintendo NX might be presented to the public at TGS during the September 12 week.
The tides are turning yet again.
