Titanfall‘s second installment, which isn’t a Microsoft-exclusive, might see its beta launch in just mere days!
However, there’s a twist: the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One are fine, but the PC-owners will get skipped. Too many hardware combinations, lack of optimization for weaker hardware, and the fear that some information might get leaked – these are the reasons why Respawn will skip the beta on PCs.
Vince Zampella, the founder of Respawn, said that „I’d say keep the next two weekends free” on Twitter, which is an obvious point towards the days when the PS4 and the X1 can get the mech-FPS’ beta. (Possible confirmation later today?)
Electronic Arts will hold a live stream for both Battlefield 1 and Titanfall 2 – the latter’s events will start at 10:15 AM PT/1:15 PM ET on Twitch. They might confirm the beta dates, too.
Titanfall 2 will be out on October 28 on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
