The case between Lindsay Lohan and Rockstar has ended.
If we had to describe shortly what the result is, it’d be „Lohan was thrown out of the court like a pile of trash”. The Manhattan court did not accept Lohan’s claims stating that Rockstar has ripped off her looks in promotional materials in Grand Theft Auto V. The court ruled that GTA 5 „does not fall under the statutory definitions of ‘advertising’ or ‘trade.’ This video game’s unique story, characters, dialogue, and environment, combined with the player’s ability to choose how to proceed in the game, render it a work of fiction and satire.”
While there’s a paparazzi mission in GTA V, the person featured in it (as well as on the image below) is not Lohan. In fact, Rockstar took Lacey Jones as a base for the character so that the case would have ended in Rockstar‘s favor regardless.
Lohan managed to make herself look bad, but at least he got our attention, as we’re informing you about the case’s closure.
