The French company created an internal division to publish books – welcome Ubisoft Publishing!

Their first book will be out in less than two months because they prepared ahead behind the scenes. It’s called Assassin’s Creed: Heresy, arriving on November 15. Its plot will focus on both the past and the present. Heresy will focus on Joan of Arc, and its writer is Christie Golden, who has been working on other Assassin’s Creed books in the past, such as Assassin’s Creed Unity: Abstergo Employee Handbook. Golden has also written Star Wars, Star Trek and World of Warcraft-related books.

On November 15, we will see another book in the stores called Assassin’s Creed: The Essential Guide. Ubisoft says it’s „a lavishly illustrated handbook on the characters, historical settings, and scenarios from throughout Assassin’s Creed’s timeline.”

Ubisoft has worked together with Penguin Random House and Scholastic in the past regarding books, but now everything is held under a single umbrella to „have complete creative control from initial concepts to print.”
