The Japanese company finally revealed their next hope; the console called Switch. That’s not the name we expected!
With the Wii U, Nintendo didn’t get as much popularity as with the Wii, and most likely, the passing of the previous president Satoru Iwata also had a negative effect on them. They might just have found a way out.
The rumors weren’t lying: the Switch is going to be portable. In the trailer, we see how a guy is playing the new Zelda game, but his dog wants to go out. What does he do? He puts the two halves on the screen in the dock, and he leaves with a display with controllers/buttons on both sides, continuing the game in the park.
Cartridge in the handheld, continuing in the airport. Putting the display on a stand, removing the controller halves, playing with the mini joypads in the comfort of the plane seat. Unbelievable.
In the hotel room, the handheld goes into the dock, and the proper controller/TV duo takes over. It’s portable, no, it’s PORTABLE – you can see how the two guys with those mini controllers have fun, and more people can play with more Switch displays around.
A new Mario game outside NBA. Splatoon, too. And there’s also Skyrim Remastered. Well Bethesda, THAT is a surprise!
We’re trying to have a good time. The Nintendo Switch, in your bag… out in March 2017.
