After the PlayStation 3 and 4, the PS4 Pro will also allow us to replace its original hard drive in case we need something bigger and better.
Sony confirmed to GameSpot that the PlayStation 4 Pro comes with an SATA III interface, which means that compared to the PS4’s 3 gigabit/s speed, the PS4 Pro will double it to 6 gigabit/s with basic HDDs. As nor the Xbox One and neither the Wii U forces you to stick to the default hard drive, Sony already had some advantage.
The PlayStation 4 Pro launches on November 10 for 400 dollars/euros, and it will come with a 1 terabyte hard drive, which should have plenty of space for games. (We wonder what the PS4 Pro will do with SSDs, though.)
What about the memory? Well, Mark Cerny confirmed that there would be an extra gigabyte of memory in the PlayStation 4 Pro! Sweet.
