Brutal!
Making a decent shooter out of Warhammer 40K’s universe is possible – Space Hulk: Deathwing might be a prime example. Sure, there are a few legitimate comparisons between this game and Doom 3 (tight corridors, anyone?), but these 17 minutes out of the 15-hour campaign (!) isn’t that bad… and it can be even more if you play on harder difficulties, and look for the secret relics. Not bad.
However, what we hear is questionable. The dialog feels a bit repetitive, and it might affect the ambiance badly. Streum One still has some time to fix this issue, though, so they might put a bit more audio into their game. Aside from this thought, the game looks great.
Space Hulk: Deathwing launches on PC on December 9, followed by the console releases on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in early 2017.
