Since its launch, the PlayStation 4 never had such a good week in the United Kingdom.
This country is an important market, and not just in the European region, but altogether – with the week ending on November 26, since the November 2013 launch, the PlayStation 4 had its best week. 3 years ago, the Sony console had over quarter a million sales, and the company had a similar result last week as well, according to GfK Entertainment. The Xbox One had 50K fewer sales, meaning that Sony pulled this week in its bag.
Black Friday has a large influence in sales not just regarding consoles, but games, too: Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End jumped to the 8th spot, DriveClub ended up in 20th place, Ratchet & Clank also ended the week in the 25th spot. These results prove that bundled games had a decent week.
The games’ top list was led by FIFA 17, followed by Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. If we add the Nintendo 3DS‘ newest attraction, Pokémon Sun & Moon‘s sales, then it would be leading the charts.
The month is about to end, and we’re going to find out if Sony was able to strike back after the recent Microsoft resurgence, or not even the PlayStation 4 Pro could help holding back the Xbox One march.
