Dragon Quest XI: A Brief Look At The Opening And Gameplay [VIDEO]

Dragon Quest is no slouch in the JRPG genre.

Square Enix has been working on Dragon Quest XI: In Search of Departed Time for a while, which has an interesting development approach. It is being developed simultaneously for the Nintendo 3DS (you can find almost all, if not all main installments on the Nintendo handhelds), the Nintendo Switch (it has been previously confirmed for the NX), and the PlayStation 4. It’s not a usual sight like a PlayStation Vita/PlayStation 4 development.

The game got three videos. One of them shows off the intro; the second one has gameplay of both the 3DS and the PS4 version – in the former one; you can switch between the modern and a retro 2D look. You can see the old style on the bottom screen. The third video introduces Camus, a blue-haired thief, as one of our partners.

Dragon Quest XI is out in Japan in 2017. No word on a Western release date yet.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
