DigitalFoundry jumped on NieR: Automata‘s demo.
They didn’t think that DualShockers’ image comparisons are enough, so they decided to go a step further and analyse the demo’s performance on both PlayStation 4 iterations in a video. There are differences between the original PlayStation 4 and the PS4 Pro.
The resolution is one of them: the basic Sony console knows 900p, while the stronger PlayStation 4 is capable of full HD. The PS4 Pro also applies anti-aliasing on NieR: Automata and the frame rate is also closer to be sixty frames per second at all times on the PlayStation 4 Pro with some cutscenes dropping to 30 FPS.
NieR: Automata, developed by PlatinumGames, will be out on March 7 and 10 in North America and Europe, respectively. A PC port is also in the works.
