The Town of Light is also going to have an appearance on PlayStation 4.
The Italian LKA.it developer team has launched this game last year on PC, but the announcement on the PlayStation Blog came by art director Luca Dalco that there is a PlayStation 4 port in development.
The Town of Light is inspired by true events, and it takes place in the Volterra Psychiatric Asylum in Tuscany, Italy, which was a real facility that operated for almost 100 years before being closed in the 1970s. (It got closed in 1978 for treating patients too harshly, it seems.) „Through extensive research we hope to give our players a glimpse into the treatment of those suffering with mental illness throughout the mid-part of the 20th century,” Dalco says.
Our character is called Renee, a resident of the institution – the goal is to piece together Renee’s past in the institute that is now in ruins. The game is not recommended for children (gee, we wonder why).
The Town of Light, which is launching this Spring on PlayStation 4, will bring improved graphical events, new story and gameplay elements to make the experiense more immersive. We’ll see about that.
