Guerrilla’s game has shifted to the last gear in marketing.
On Reddit, Lordidude shared his first experiences of Horizon Zero Dawn, as he was one of the lucky people to receive an early copy of it.
He thinks that the visuals are technically impressive on the PlayStation 4 Pro: it’s a stable thirty frames per second frame rate with no slowdown. The controls are „a little different but not overloaded and easy to learn.”
„I’ve found collectibles with story/lore and the good old villagers in need side quests. The quests by themselves are pretty straight forward, which is to expect in the beginning. There might be branching quests later. At least I hope so,” he added.
The PS4-exclusive, which launches on February 28, will have only a 250 MB day-1 patch. It also got four videos: the first one focuses on the exploration, followed by the machines that can attack us and can also be helping us, hunting and tracking, and Aloy‘s past and present, respectively.
For those interested, #HorizonZeroDawn will receive a day one patch of around 250MB.
