Both Tekken‘s producer and Bandai Namco have confirmed that there will be no cross-play between the consoles and PC in multiplayer.
Tekken 7 is in development for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, and you might ask whether the three platforms’ players can face each other or not. The answer is a big, resounding no, but Katsuhiro Harada, Tekken’s „father,” has expressed multiple times to ask the „first party” about the situation.
By the first party, he meant Sony and Microsoft – it is up to them to make cross-play happen. Previously, Harada said that PC players are more prone to cheating, and that could be another reason that we have to forget about the „free” multiplayer. He also said that the reason behind Street Fighter V and Killer Instinct having cross-play is because it’s a console exclusive on the PS4 and the X1, respectively.
Tekken 7 is out on June 2.
it’s NOT my heart & our issue.
It’s 1st Party issue & platform security policy issue.
