What happens is you want to unlock everything in Ubisoft’s game?
For Honor launched a month ago on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, and of course, it came with a ton of microtransactions outright, making the battle of vikings, samurais, and knights riddled with them to an extent. Bystander007 on Reddit sat down and did the math to count what you need to get all Emotes, Executions, Effects, Outfits, and Ornaments.
To max out one character, you will need 91500 Steel, the game’s currency. As there are twelve characters, multiply it by a dozen, which would raise the total to 1 million 98 thousand. If you chose the most expensive, 100-dollar microtransaction, you’d need 7.32 of them, meaning you’d have to pay 732 dollars for everything. If you’d go for grinding and play 1 to 2 hours on 5 to 7 days a week, you’d be required to play the game for 915 days, over two and a half years! By this time, Ubisoft could either shut down all servers or make a sequel to this game. (If you’d plan to play more, you’d still be limited, as the game’s system doesn’t allow to hand out Steel after two hours a day, and you’d still have to play for 326 days to get everything.)
Perhaps the devs should take notes from Ubisoft Massive, the devs of The Division, where you get rewards for completing certain tasks. Perhaps more For Honor players would exist if they copied that approach…
