Assassin’s Creed: Empire: 2017 Launch After All?

It may not launch this year. Maybe it will. Another sign of Assassin’s Creed: Empire coming in 2017.

Swiss World of Games still has its listing available for the Xbox One version of Assassin’s Creed: Empire, which could be arriving in October. Maybe not, and World of Games used that date as a placeholder after the latest AAA releases’ (such as Unity and Syndicate) launch window.

Kotaku previously wrote that Assassin’s Creed had skipped 2016 with an AAA game because 2014’s Unity’s launch was so terrible that they believe the developers require more time to polish the next title. Does that mean that one of the previous Ubisoft comments, saying that they might delay games to make their launch acceptable enough, is an effect of this change of attitude?

If the rumors are true, Assassin’s Creed: Empire might launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and the Nintendo Switch. Seeing the good relationship between Nintendo and Ubisoft, it could make sense. Announcement at E3?
