Call Of Duty: Activision Is Aiming For Marvel Levels

MOVIE NEWS – Activision Blizzard won’t be satisfied with just one or two movies!

Stacey Sher and Nick Van Dyk talked to The Guardian. Who are they? Well, they are the co-presidents of Activision Blizzard Studios. Van Dyk previously has played a pivotal position of acquiring the Marvel and Star Wars licenses for Disney, while Sher has been a producer of many series and films, and she has worked with people like Quentin Tarantino as well.

„There’ll be a film that feels more like Black Ops, the story behind the story. The Modern Warfare series looks at what it’s like to fight a war with the eyes of the world on you. And then maybe something that is more of a hybrid, where you are looking at private, covert operations, while a public operation is going on,” they say. The cross-over looks something like The Avengers, to be fair. Van Dyk says that each movie will be like a „big, tentpole Marvel-esque” one, hoping that their „individual universes that interconnect and a timeline that makes sense with consistent themes and Easter eggs.”

They are considering a TV series for historical events, which means that the first Call of Duty games can end up on our screens. They are also thinking about doing something with Overwatch as well…

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
