Sledgehammer‘s game, which was decided 2.5 years ago that it would not be futuristic, got revealed properly.
The franchise is going back to the roots, as this year’s Call of Duty is going to Europe during World War II. The cooperative game mode will have Nazi zombies (such creativity), and unfortunately, the locations leave a ton of untold/not seen on games opportunities behind: Normandy D-Day, Paris, Germany. Why not try other places, like Budapest’s siege (Operation Panzerfaust, everyone?)? At least Ronald Red Daniels’ story will be human-like: say goodbye to ammo packs and regenerating HP in the campaign!
„Multiplayer also delivers a new approach to character and create-a-class through Divisions, War, an all-new narrative multiplayer mode of play, and Headquarters, a first of its kind for the Call of Duty social community, designed for players to interact and socialize with friends,” the press release says. Expect more details of the multi and the Nazi zombies mode at E3 and at a later date, respectively.
The game will arrive in three versions, and all three will earn you a private beta test, first on PlayStation 4, then on Xbox One and PC.
- Base Edition and Digital Base Edition – Suggested Retail Price $59.99.
- Digital Deluxe Edition – Season Pass and more, SRP $99.99.
- Pro Edition – Season Pass, collectible Steelbook and more, SRP $99.99.
We don’t know what they mean by „more” yet.
The game is out on November 3 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
