Marvel vs. Capcom Infinity Comes Earlier Than We Thought [VIDEO]

Capcom managed to surprise us.

So far, we only knew that the new Marvel vs. Capcom would launch at the end of the year, but that’s not the case. We’ll get back to the date later. So, Marvel‘s and Capcom‘s characters will attack each other in 2v2 teams even in a Story Mode – for the first time in the franchise; there’s a plot behind the events. The main villain? Ultron Sigma. Hold on, Marvel’s Ultron and Capcom’s Sigma from Mega Man X have united their powers…? (There will also be Arcade, Training, and Mission modes as well on top of the online capabilities.)

Characters mentioned in the press release: Ultron, Hulk, Thor, Hawkeye, Rocket Raccoon, Chun-Li, Strider Hiryu, Chris Redfield (well then, we didn’t miss a lot yesterdayŰ!). On top of them, you can also add those who we already saw: Captain Marvel, Iron Man, Captain America, Ryu, Mega Man X, and Morrigan. „The use of powerful, game-changing Infinity Stones further deepens the customized gameplay and allows players to equip and unleash elemental in-game powers, such as Time, Power and Space.” (How does the Time and Space stone work, though?)

The game will be available in a Deluxe version for 90 dollars/euros, and it will contain the game, as well as the 2017 Character Pass (so will there be a 2018 one, too?), which will unlock the six upcoming characters after the launch. One of them will be Sigma. Pre-order bonuses for all versions in North America include Warrior Thor and Evil Ryu costumes. The Deluxe Edition also includes two additional costumes: Gladiator Hulk and Mega Man Command Mission X.

There will also be a Collector’s Edition, made by Triforce, for 200 dollars on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It will include four premium character dioramas of Iron Man, Captain Marvel, Mega Man X and Chun-Li, a case filled with six Infinity Stone replicas, as well as SteelBook packaging that contains the Deluxe Edition of the game.

The release date? September 19, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
