Yes, 8K resolution: 7680×4320.
Nowadays, 4K starts to gain ground in games… on consoles, and that’s a massive jump from 1080p, the resolution the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One mostly uses. Throw all that away: Thirty IR came in with two powerful PCs, and ran The Witcher 3 on maximum settings (!) on 8K resolution. Just look at the specs of the computers – the first one was used for gaming, the second one was for capturing:
- GPUs: 4x GTX TITAN Xp (2017) 4 WAY SLI @ 2038Mhz / 13358Mhz
- MoBo: Asus Rampage V Extreme (X99)
- CPU: i7 6950X @ 4.30GHz
- RAM: Corsair Dominator Platinum DDR4 3200Mhz (64GB)
- GPUs: 4x GTX 1080 Ti 4 WAY SLI @ 2025Mhz / 12110Mhz
- MoBo: ASRock Extreme11 (X79)
- CPU: i7 3970X @ 4.80GHz
- RAM: Corsair Dominator Platinum DDR3 2133Mhz (32GB)
These aren’t weak machines, to say the least. In case you want to watch the video below on 4320p60, be warned: your device used for browsing (possibly PC) might not even start PLAYING the video on 8K. (Not even our machines could do that either.)
