Ubisoft might be going back to the past.
Yesterday, we already had gone into a few rumors here, including this year’s Assassin’s Creed‘s potential title, but now, WWG also joined the party.
This site states that the game would be officially revealed at E3, and the release date would be somewhere in the autumn. These details, as well as the Egyptian location, are not surprising, but let’s dive deeper than that to find out more…
Two protagonists – a man and a woman -, with the story concentrating on the original Assassins’ guild. That sentence doesn’t seem to be in line with yesterday’s artwork description, but let’s move on: the character development would be similar to Skyrim, the gameplay would focus on exploration, and there would also be naval battles as well, and we may go as far as Greece in the game. (It looks like Ubisoft takes cues from AC IV.)
An internal video of the new Assassin’s Creed shows scenes of Egypt, then a transition to other places and times in history: an Asian country, the World War II-era France, and a modern day Abstergo Industries facility all showed up in it, but we don’t know if we can see this video in the future or not.
Either WWG knows too much, or they know how to lie.
