PlatinumGames’ project was shut down in January.
Microsoft might have been given a dirty job to someone, as the Redmond-based company silently renewed the trademark for Scalebound. On Twitter, we read that the development is starting over from scratch, which could be making Hideki Kamiya slightly angry, as he was the original director of the project. The reboot would be handled by a team „close” to Microsoft. The development is obviously in an early phase, which is reasonable.
Regardless what happens, Microsoft is doing a risky move here – in January, they managed to piss off a lot of people when canceling the project. Hideki Kamiya, who previously created games such as Bayonetta, The Wonderful 101, Okami, or Viewtiful Joe, is a talented game director, and if he isn’t going to be involved, it might backfire big time for Microsoft.
Guys, i know the excitement, but keep in mind it’s an early, early info for a project rebooted from the ground. The IP is alive

Aaaand it’s on early stage phase…so, the only thing confirmed, is MS wants to keep safe the IP (trademark renewed few days ago). Thank you
