IO Interactive Lays Off Some Of Its People!

There are upcoming „changes” at the studio that got left behind by Square Enix.

IO Interactive‘s statement, which you can find here, says the following: „Today at IOI, we had to make some changes to our studio, which will allow us to be better equipped for our future adventures. We’re sad that great talent and good friends will be leaving the studio. We are doing everything possible to look after everyone affected. Thank you for your support and understanding.”

It’s the result of Square Enix wanting to sell the studio, who recently finished the first season of Hitman (and the second one is allegedly in development already – Agent 47’s story did not end yet!).

Hopefully, the Danish team can get out of this issue. They deserve to be picked up by another publisher. Someone like say, THQ Nordic…

Anikó, our news editor and communication manager, is more interested in the business side of the gaming industry. She worked at banks, and she has a vast knowledge of business life. Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
