Visceral’s Star Wars Game’s Plot Leaked?

Even though Visceral’s long-awaited Star Wars game wasn’t at E3, leaks still provide valuable information to dissect…

The following information is via MakingStarWars.net – take it with a grain of salt.

Amy Hennig’s game is codenamed Project Ragtag, and its plot could be as complex and as high-quality as a movie. (Hennig, formerly a key person behind Uncharted, has her skills in effect, then.) Plot-wise, it could be put between IV and V.

Todd Stashwick (12 Monkeys, The Riches, the Originals, Supernatural, Gotham, writer of this game) is playing „Dodger” (it isn’t his real name). He was forced into the criminal underworld when he „dodged” the draft into Imperial service, leaving his home, Alderaan. His life got a lot worse after the destruction of Alderaan. He found himself on a wanted „survivors list” held by the Empire (a story idea which popped up in Marvel’s Leia comic series).

When the Rebels blew up the Death Star, the Empire focused its retribution towards the outer rim, which is bad for Dodger, yet it also gives him opportunities to make money. The Empire’s new involvement shakes up the criminal underworld, and criminals end up helping the rebels for the first time.

Dodger gets the opportunity to work for Jabba the Hutt (more on that in a future update, apparently), which could give him the money he needs to buy himself off the list of Alderaanian survivors via corrupt Imperials. However, he finds something terrifying about what the Empire wants to do with the weapon that hits close to home – the classic revenge motivation kicks in.

Dodger is armed with a light whip/grapple stick and a blaster. His signature move is to activate the light whip/grapple stick and ensnare his enemies with his left hand and then blast them into oblivion with the pistol in his right hand. There are a lot of variants on these weapons which might mean they just conceptualized a lot of these things or there will be DLC and variants to obtain in the game.

All of the information seems to be currently accurate. Hm… the game is out in 2018.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
