Is Deus Ex’ Dev Team Working On A Multiplayer Game?

Eidos Montreal might be doing something with the Dawn Engine.

What is that, you ask? It’s the developers’ proprietary game engine, first seen in 2016’s Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. However, the Quebec-based studio is confirmed to work together with Crystal Dynamics on the Avengers game, and they are also rumored to also develop Shadow of the Tomb Raider, as well as a Guardians of the Galaxy title. Can the team work on FOUR games at the same time?

The answer could be a yes: according to a French job listing, Eidos Montreal is looking for a network programmer who would use the Dawn Engine for an unknown title. They will either make the new employee work on one of the Disney/Marvel license-based games, or Adam Jensen’s next adventure could be containing a multiplayer element. (Tomb Raider is unlikely: 2013’s reboot had multiplayer, but it used the Foundation Engine, not Dawn.)
