Not one, not two (which we predicted), but three announcements came from Telltale at San Diego Comic-Con.
Let’s go through them in order. In case you were waiting for Bigby’s plot to continue, you may now celebrate: The Wolf Among Us‘ second season launches in 2018, and you won’t have to own the first season to play it, due to it being an independent title. Tick one announcement off.
Second announcement: Batman: The Evil Within – this was a surprise to everyone, as the second season starts on August 8 (!!!) with the first episode called The Enigma. Quoting the press release, „In this latest chapter, both Bruce Wayne and Batman will be forced into precarious new roles. The Riddler has returned to terrorize Gotham City, but his gruesome puzzles merely foreshadow an even greater crisis. With the arrival of a ruthless federal agent and the return of a still nascent Joker, Batman must navigate uneasy alliances while Bruce Wayne undertakes a perilous series of deceptions. Which of Batman’s new allies will you choose to trust? And how deep into the darkness will you let Bruce descend?” In October, there will be a physical release for the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One, but again, only with one episode on the disc, which Telltale thinks is a great idea. (It’s not.)
The last, major surprise was that The Walking Dead is getting a fourth, final (!) season in 2018, featuring Clementine once more, just like how she was the man character in season two. It means we will likely not see Javier and the others at all.
Are we happy, Vincent?
