Jeremy Stieglitz also talked about the Xbox One X on Twitter.
On PC, you can find ARK: Survival Evolved since a long time ago, but it is going to quit the Early Access state shortly on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as well (on August 29, to be exact – the day which will hurt wallets), so the question arises: will there be any cross-play between platforms?
Stieglitz says that the Xbox One X will run the game on 1440p and 30 frames per second, around the same graphical settings as the High level on PC. They are also considering 1080p/60fps, but it would only be on the Medium level of the PC version. It wouldn’t be a bad idea to implement a switch between performance and visuals, though…
On NeoGAF, we can read that Stieglitz and the team managed to make cross-play between the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One happen within Studio Wildcard, but unfortunately, Sony doesn’t allow it to happen due to safety concerns.
On Xbox One X, ARK runs at 1440p 30 FPS, with settings approximately equivalent to “PC High”
