If you don’t play on consoles, you might ask that question seen in the title.
DigitalFoundry has done it once again: after the console versions, they took a separate look at the beta of the PC port. According to the video, there were fewer pop-ins in comparison to the console versions (which means you might see fewer textures loading right in front of you), the draw distance was bigger, the textures and shadows were both improved, and there were several graphical settings that could allow a mid-range PC (DF used a GeForce GTX 1060) to run Battlefront II on 1080p at 60 frames per second. That sounds quite good… and DICE still has time to optimize the game even further than what the video showed!
Don’t worry about breaking the piggy bank if you play games on PC – it looks like Star Wars Battlefront II (which will launch on November 17 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC) will run decently on older hardware, too.
