Even Sony has made a move that could be interesting in the long run.
Warhammer: Vermintide II received a gameplay video. The Fatshark game, which was announced in August, will launch in early 2018 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Co-op Skaven killing in a first-person perspective!
Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus got its launch trailer. The American rebels have had enough of Nazis ruling the United States, and their cry for help is followed by your usual killing montage, and… a sick Hitler at the end? Out on October 27 on PlayStation 4/Xbox One/PC.
Sony Music Entertainment (SME) has founded a brand new publishing arm called Unties. They plan to launch smaller, indie gems on PlayStation 4, PC, and most surprisingly, on the Nintendo Switch! They have also announced several games that will arrive under the Unties label. They are Tiny Metal (developer: Area35, genre: tactical, PS4/NS/PC, November 21), Last Standard (I From Japan, 3D Action, PC, other platforms and release date to be announced), Merkava Avalanche (WinterCrownWorks, survival robot action, PC, other platforms and release date to be announced), and Deemo Reborn (tentative title; Rayark, rhythmical action, PS4 with PSVR-support, no release date yet).
SME is completely independent of Sony Interactive Entertainment, and their Unties idea looks similar to Square Enix Collective. Best of luck to them!
Dragon Ball FighterZ‘s newest (Japanese) trailer introduces Cell. Arc System Works could not leave one of the major enemies of Goku out. Out in February for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
Two trailers for Resident Evil 7 Gold Edition. The first one shows the End of Zoe DLC (Joe’s plot about how he met Zoe), and the other one features Chris Redfield in the Not A Hero DLC (which will keep the first-person perspective). The first DLC costs 15 dollars, while Chris’ adventures will be free. Out on December 12 on PS4/X1/PC.
Battlefield 1‘s next expansion, Turning Tides got a video, too. It will have four new maps (but two of them, Achi Baba and Cape Helles, will be out in December), a new faction, six new weapons, a new Elite class, and new vehicles. Most of the content will drop in January.
Middle-Earth: Shadow of War will expand with a new game mode. During a stream, Monolith confirmed that Infinite Shadow Wars is going to be an endless fort defense mode, which will launch simultaneously with the Slaughter Tribe Nemesis DLC.
Gran Turismo’s (and Gran Turismo Sport’s) creator, Kazunori Yamauchi received an honorary degree in vehicle engineering by the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. He didn’t think 2.5 decades ago that something like this would happen to him. Still, congratulations, Kaz!
Hand of the Gods: SMITE Tactics is a turn-based strategy game, which has its „closed” beta on PS4 and X1 running at the moment. It’s not closed, to be honest… all you need is a PlayStation Plus/Xbox Live Gold subscription.
