Sony doesn’t leave the PlayStation VR‘s marketings at a low level, but there’s that certain „but” word.
Let’s start with Sony’s move: the Japanese company announced on the PlayStation Blog that another (!) PlayStation VR bundle is hitting the shelves on November 17 in North America. It will contain the updated (CUH-ZVR2 model) headset, the PlayStation Camera, two Move controllers, as well as a copy of The Elder Scrolls V: The Skyrim VR, which itself will contain the Dawnguard, Heathfire, and Dragonborn DLCs. As with the Gran Turismo Sport bundle, this one will also have an update demo disc with thirteen demos on it. In the US, it’s going to cost 450 dollars, and in Canada, it will be 580.
But… will there be mods? Bethesda’s assistant community director, Matt Grandstaff, revealed during a GameSpot live stream the answer: „Presently there is no mod support in the game. If it’s something we can figure out as a possibility we’ll let everybody know, but right now [Skyrim VR is] everything that’s in the base game plus all the DLC.”
So the PlayStation 4 version (Special Edition) has mods, but the PlayStation VR version (which launches on November 17) with its downgraded visuals will have none of them! Interesting, dear Bethesda…
