The first Total War Saga spin-off already pulls out an interesting period for the strategy fans.
We’re in 878, right after the Vikings’ invasion of Britannia is over. The goal is to somehow unite the British Isles by the end of 1066, which could be difficult, as both England, Wales, Scotland, and Ireland could be victorious in the end, and, according to the press release, Thrones of Britannia will also offer the most detailed campaign map in a Total War game ever, meaning that Creative Assembly could be providing a decent game for us.
The Anglo-Saxons, the Viking settlers, as well as a few Gaelic tribes are confirmed to be playable in the game, which is based on Total War: ATTILA’s codebase. The game is set to launch in 2018 in both physical and digital format, but only on PC, as there are no plans for a Mac/Linux port at the moment.
