We’re getting closer to Capcom’s (one of the) biggest games of the year.
One of Monster Hunter World‘s regions, Rotten Vale, was first shown in the trailer made for Paris Games Week. The region’s overview (via Capcom) follows: „Littered with the skeletons of deceased monsters, a land of unique and gigantic creatures awaits amongst this bed of bones. The deeper players journey into the inner layers of the Rotten Vale, the tougher the environment gets with a dangerous and toxic mist blanketing the land obscuring the perils that lurk nearby until the very last minute. The Radobaan, a hulking beast that wears the carcasses scattered around the Vale for armor will need hunters to be quick and fast as they take off chunks of its bone armor and avoid its rolling attacks. […]”
The game will get a PlayStation 4-exclusive beta between December 9 and 12 – you’ll need an active PlayStation Plus subscription to test the game before the Christmas rush, helping you to decide to buy it after.
Yes, after: Monster Hunter World is out on January 26 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One – the PC port will follow at a later date. The twelve-minute Japanese gameplay can be seen between 1:38:33 and 1:50:38 in the video below.
