Electronic Arts Already Hypes A New Game!

This game is supposedly going to have „never-before-seen gameplay elements!”

Blake Jörgensen talked about this game at the UBS Global Technology Conference. It’s being developed by Motive, which is headed by Jade Raymond (ex-Ubisoft, Assassin’s Creed!). „[It has  a] lot of new, interesting gameplay that I don’t think anyone’s seen ever seen before,” Jörgensen says. On GamesIndustry, Electronic Arts‘ chief financial officer talked about another subject, too.

…and that would be the company’s move towards the action genre, which is already seen in BioWare’s next game, Anthem. „Action is clearly the place we’re missing the most, and the reason we’re building Anthem and the new title that Jade Raymond‘s team at Motive is building in Montreal. That’s the largest sector in gaming. It’s one that we haven’t spent a lot of time in because we were so focused on sports and first-person shooters. We feel like there’s a huge opportunity there,” Jörgensen said.

So they want to earn money in new genres (microtransactions!), and until we don’t see the new Motive game in action, we’ll just doubt Jörgensen’s hype…

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
