The digital Grim Reaper is coming for them.
On Twitter, you can read Guerrilla Games‘ announcement that says that two games’ multiplayer is going to be killed shortly. The two titles are Killzone 2 and Killzone 3, so we’re talking about two PlayStation 3 games.
The servers are getting shut down on March 29, ending the battle between the ISA and the Helghast, but don’t worry about the single player – they will work just as before, only the online functionalities are going to be disabled in roughly a quarter of a year.
We’re eager to see when Killzone: Shadow Fall’s servers will be getting the same treatment by Guerrilla and Sony – it was one of the PlayStation 4 launch titles, and the developers seem to be more interested in working on a sequel to Horizon: Zero Dawn instead of a new Killzone game.
