Polyphony Digital’s game finally got what effectively all the other Gran Turismo titles contained by default.
The roughly 2.78 gigabyte 1.10 update is finally available for this PlayStation 4-exclusive that’s technically an always-online game (as you need an Internet connection to save your progress), and it’s not just a simple bugfix for Gran Turismo Sport. It has more than that: the GT League mode is finally available, which is the single-player career mode – if you played any previous GT games, all we have to say to be understood is GT Mode.
Twelve new cars also arrived (Mazda RX-7 Spirit R Type A (FD), Nissan Skyline GT-R V・spec II (R32), Nissan Skyline GT-R V・spec II Nür (R34), Ford F-150 SVT Raptor, Lamborghini Countach LP400, Ferrari F40, Ferrari Enzo Ferrari, KTM X-BOW R, Suzuki Swift Sport, Volkswagen Samba Bus Type 2 (T1), Chris Holstrom Concepts 1967 Chevy Nova, Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible (C3)), as well as two new tracks (Kyoto Driving Park Yamagawa, Kyoto Driving Park Miyabi). Of course, there’s no holiday without holiday-themed Scapes for the photogenic racers.
Gran Turismo Sport will get at least 50 cars by the end of March, as well as a few tracks, to keep the interest up.
