Another game got its „death note.”
Recently, we wrote about multiple Sony games getting its servers shut down – two of these titles are Killzone 2 and 3. It’s time for another major PlayStation 3 game to slowly be abandoned: Gran Turismo 6, according to its announcement, will see its servers go bye-bye on March 28, 1 PM CET (7 AM Eastern, 4 AM Pacific).
Therefore, a Community, Open Lobby, Quick Match, and Seasonal Events will not be accessible, and the GT6 Track Path Editor on iOS and Android will also not work with the game anymore. You can active and acquire the formerly purchased credits, though (the former’s path is Purchase History – Download List in the XMB, the latter requires My Home – GT Store – Purchased Content in the game).
Gran Turismo 6 is barely a four-year-old game, so this time, it’s probably just Sony and Polyphony Digital forcing the players to switch to Gran Turismo Sport…
