The JRPG, which is already available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita, will shortly hit the PC, too.
NIS America announced that YS VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana will be available on Steam and GOG from January 30 – this day will also affect the console versions, as this day is when the updated localization will be rolled out as a patch. It will improve the game’s script, adjust the graphical text, and also contain re-recorded audio. (Technically, it could be called English 2.0…)
The PC users will get access to free content until February 6, 10 AM Pacific / 1 PM Eastern:
- Adol’s Adventure Essentials DLC – Includes Adol’s Silver Armor, Adol’s Adventurer Clothes, and Adol’s Survival Kit
- Digital Mini Art Book – Includes a 32-page full-color art book
- Digital Soundtrack Sampler – Includes 5 tracks
- Laxia’s “Eternian Scholar” Costume
A few images can be found below – they are taken from the updated PlayStation 4 version. The patch, as well as the PC port, will be out on January 30 on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. YS VIII is under development for the Nintendo Switch, too – the portable N platform will get the game sometime this summer.
