The AI-generated, Deepfakes fake porn videos will be banned by multiple websites.
The Deepfakes porn is possible with AI-powered software, capable of machine learning. It allows users to slap on the faces of video game characters onto existing porn videos. It’s also possible to put other people’s face into these videos, which could ruin their reputation if such a video was spread around on the Internet.
Multiple websites announced that they will not tolerate this content and will be banned. Reddit quickly got rid of its subreddit… The first website was Gfycat, which is a direct competitor to Imgur. Addressing intellectual properly laws, it is going to delete any „unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortious, excessively violent, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, invasive of another’s privacy, hateful racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable” content.
A Discord spokesman told Business Insider that Skype’s competitor software identified servers where the Deepfakes software and its usage was discussed, and based on „non-consensual pornography,” the servers were removed and their users were banned.
Pornhub became Gfycat’s alternative for the MI porn, but they also ban such content, again, claiming that it is non-consensual pornography. It was confirmed to Engadget by a spokesperson. Twitter also joined the banning websites (and Facebook already did not allow sexual content to be published).
The Deepfakes fake porn videos are already not being tolerated.
